Fried Won Tons ~ Won tons (hun tuns) skins lend themselves to a quick and
easy snack or finger food.

1/3 pound ground meat: chicken, pork or beef ~ Shrimp Wontons ~ Wonton Soup

* Group 1
1 tbsp water
1 tsp cornstarch
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp white wine or sherry
2-3 drops sesame oil
pinch of black pepper

30 won ton skins
oil for frying

1.  Add
Group 1 to the meat and mix until smooth.

2.  Fill the small squares of won ton skins by placing a teaspoon of the mixture in
the center;  diagonally fold in half forming a triangle; fold the edge holding the
filling over about ½-inch: bring the two outer points together; moisten one inner
edge and pinch together.

3.  Deep fry the won tons over medium heat until golden.

Note:  Maintain the oil temperature (medium heat).  If the oil is to hot the meat will
not be cooked and the skins may burn.
