Pomodori Griglia con Rosamarino ~ Tomatoes with Rosemary
A classic way to prepare tomatoes for broiling.

5 large, red, ripe tomatoes
1 tbsp plus 10 tsp peanut or corn oil - do not mix these (sounds odd - reason
shown below)
5 tsp chopped fresh or dried rosemary leaves
salt and freshly ground black pepper

1.  Preheat broiler.

2.  Core the tomatoes and slice them in half.

3.  Grease a baking dish large enough to hold the tomato halves with 1 tablespoon
of oil.  Arrange the halves over it, cut side up.

4. Sprinkle each half with about ½ teaspoon of chopped rosemary; adding salt
and pepper to taste.  Sprinkle about 1 teaspoon oil over each half and place them
under the broiler.  Broil about 5 minutes.
