
| Basic Pot Pie Dough ~ Makes 2 Servings ~ see chart below for more servings 1/3 cup plus 2 tsp all purpose flour Dash of salt 1 tbsp plus 1 tsp margarine 2 tbsp plain lowfat yogurt In a mixing bowl combine flour and salt, with a pastry blender, or 2 knives used scissors fashion, cut in margarine until mixture resemble coarse meal. Add yogurt and mix throughly. Form dough into 2 equal balls; cover each with plastic wrap and chill for 30 - 40 minutes (may be kept in refrigerator for 3 days); or wrap in plastic freezer wrap and freeze until ready to use. If dough has been frozen, thaw completly in refrigerator before using. Variations: 1. Chedder Dough - Add 1 ounce shredded cheddar cheese to dry ingredients and proceed as shown above. 2. Pastry Dough - Omit salt from basic dough recipe. Proceed as shown above, but form dough into 1 ball; cover and chill for at least an hour. For additional Servings |
