Filipino Fried Noodles ~ a dish from the Philippines than will certainly delight your
family and guests ~
2 cups bean thread (so-un)
1 tbsp minced garlic
1 cup boneless pork chop, cut into narrow strips
½ cup carrots cut into matchsticks
½ cup green beans, cut diagonally
1 cup cauliflower, separated into flowerets
½ straw mushrooms, trimmed and sliced
½ cup bean sprouts (remove the small "tails")
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp fish sauce
1 tsp vinegar
1 tbsp sugar
¼ cup oil
Lettuce

1.  Cut bean threads into 5 inch sections.  Soak in warm water and drain.

2.  Heat a wok then add the oil.  Stir-fry the garlic until light brown (do not allow to
burn) Add pork and stir-fry for 2 minutes.  Add the vegetables one at a time. Toss
until well mixed.

3.  Add glass noodles (so-un),
soy sauce, fish sauce, vinegar and sugar.  Stir
until well mixed.

4.  Place on a bed of lettuce on a serving platter.
