Port Au Prince Biscuits ~

2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
5 tbsp vegetable shortening
3/4 cup milk

1.  Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.  Cut in shortening with
pastry blender or two (2) knives until mixture resemble small peas.

2.  Make a well in the center of mixture and add milk.  Stir with fork until dough
holds together.

3.  Knead on a lightly floured board 30 seconds.  Roll dough to ½-inch thickness.  
Cut with a floured 1½-inch cutter.

4.  Place on greased baking sheets about 1 inch apart.

5.  Bake at 425 degrees F 15 to 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
