Beer Batter

¾ cup flour
½ cup beer (at room temperature)
1 tsp oil
1 egg separated
salt & pepper to taste

1.  Place flour in a bowl and stir in the beer, 1 teaspoon of oil and the salt &
pepper to taste.

2.  Just before you start frying...stir the egg yolk into the batter.  Beat the egg
whites until stiff, fold into the batter.
