
| Chicken Drumstick Adobo ~ A traditional Filipino dish normally served with white rice and your choice of veggies. Group 1 10 - 12 chicken drumsticks 1 tbsp garlic, minced 1 tbsp white vinegar 2 cups water 1 bay leaf ½ tsp peppercorns 2 tbsp light soy sauce ~~~~~ oil for deep frying 1. Using a large frying pan; place group 1 into the pan (insure liquid covers the chicken); cover bring and to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer gently for 25 minutes. 2. Uncover and continue to simmer for another 10 minutes. 3. Remove chicken; increase the heat and boil until the liquid has thickened and reduced to about 1 cup. Set aside as a sauce. 4. Heat the pan again with oil for deep frying (360 ° F.); add the chicken in one layer and fry until browned. 5. Remove to a serving dish; pour sauce of chicken and serve. Serve with white rice. |
