Welcome To Germany,

The panorama above was taken from the balcony on the front of our Bed & Breakfast.  We are staying in a
small town, somewhat south of Kaiserslautern.  A quaint little town and seems to have all the necessary
facilities without the hustle and bustle of a large city.  The population is around 5000.

Since our arrival the weather has been somewhat overcast with temperatures between 34 and 40 degrees.
There has been a light dusting of snow and on occasion a light rain.  Other than that, it is somewhat misty all
the time.

Inside you will find pictures of many well known places as well as some off-the-road places, places of interest,
such as old castles (ruins), and many others.  There is also a section on Rome and our travels through The
Eternal City.

Exchange rate = 1.41 to the dollar
1 US Gallon is the same as 3.78500 liters.
Benzin = unleaded gas is 131.9 per liter.

131.9 x 3.78500 = E4.99 per gallon.  In dollars that's
$7.03 per gallon

Super Unleaded would be:
138.9 x 3.78500 = E5.25/6 per gallon. In Dollars
that's $7.40 per gallon

Assume your car held 20 gallons - to fill up would
be $148.05 for Super ouch...that's gonna hurt.

Erdgas = propane.
Counter
In the picture (evening) the prices have changed to:

140.9 x 3.78500 = E5.33 per gallon.  That's $7.85
per gallon

Super Unleaded would be:
146.9 x 3.78500 = E5.56 per gallon. That's $8.17
per gallon - 20 gallons would be $163.46

Of course it all depends on the exchange
rate..........this is the Euro symbol below.
These two pictures were taken at the
same gas station, the top was taken on
Dec 10, the bottom was taken on Dec 21
